I just ordered a $178 17 piece eBay front suspension replacement kit for my 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee (lovingly known as “Heep”) experiment.
I figure it has to be somewhat better than the 273,000 mile old rusty bits underneath there now.

Got the Death Wobble?

Nope. Massive play in steering and it feels terribly floaty/weird. The front tires are also completely worn with a very erratic wear pattern.
On top of that, I can see some sort of hole (possibly created by debris impact?) peeking right through to the bushing on the driver side lower control arm.

All that, but no Death Wobble, I’ll be damned.

Play in the steering? Have you checked the tie rods? Recently put new ones on the miata and it made a world of difference. I hadn’t realized just how tight they’re supposed to be. Evidently if you can move them by hand at all they’re worn.
